Irrigation Technician

Careers

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is a very independent position as they are working alone 80% of the time.  In the mornings the technicians have a brief meeting with the Irrigation Service Manager to discuss anything on the schedule for that day or any specifics on anything.  After that trucks are loaded with anything that is necessary.  Start-ups, blowouts, and sod checks are the main items on the technicians’ schedule throughout the season.  We also do other service items such as moving heads because a deck or patio was added or someone just bought a house that was previously lived in and wants to know how to run their system.  Many times, there are multiple things that arise during the day and schedules may change so this person needs to be adaptable with good communication skills.  We work with community systems (HOA’s and townhomes), commercial properties, and residential homes.

BENEFITS:

  • Paid time off accrual that is paid out at the end of the season
  • Earned sick and safe time accrual
  • Health and dental insurance offered after 60 days with an optional HSA account set-up
  • 3% employer matched IRA after 1 year of employment
  • Paid bi-weekly with option of direct deposit
  • Company clothing (long and short sleeve t-shirts, hats, and sweatshirts)
  • Sign-on and Referral Bonus Program
  • Competitive Pay
  • Typical Season is April to November with snow removal work in the winter
